Husband:  Joe Provo

Children:  2 Brian-14 and Corrina-10

Since Graduation I joined the Army Reserves in 1981 and then in 1986 I enlisted with the active duty Air Force.  I met my husband, Joe, at my first duty station, Barksdale AFB, LA.  We moved to Abilene, TX, in 1988 and spent over 6 years there.  Brian was born at Dyess AFB, Abilene, TX in August of 1990.  We moved to the Island of Terceira Azores, Portugal in 1994.  Due to limited military medical facilities, I was transferred to Anderson AFB in Annapolis, Maryland to give birth to Corrina.  She was born in May 1995.

When she was 7 days old, we took her back to our home in the Azores, where we stayed until July of 1997.  The Azorean Islands were very beautiful and we met some great "local" people!  From there, we tried for a transfer to England or Germany but instead were sent to San Antonio, TX.  We lived in San Antonio from July of 1997 to January 2001.  We had a lot of fun there, meeting great friends and spending many, many days at Sea World (We lived only 10 minutes away!)   We transferred to Washington State in January 2001, and really dreaded the move because we loved San Antonio so much.  It took months to adjust from the constant sunshine to the constant rain, but I have to say there can't be many places more beautiful than the state of Washington.  We were fortunate in the neighborhood we live where we have been "Adopted" by several of our close neighbors and have become a part of their families.

We will be transferring in June 2005 to Scott AFB, IL.  Again, we will miss all the friends we have made.  Scott AFB is located approximately 35 minutes east of St. Louis.  We are looking forward to being more centrally located to Nebraska, Vermont and New York so we can visit family and friends more often.

I have been to some amazing and not so amazing places during my military travels, England, Germany, Portugal, Mexico, New Foundland, Iceland, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Crete (Um, that's Crete, Greece not to be confused with Crete, Nebraska).  So far I have visited all but 10 states in the nation.  The people and the life long friends I have made is indescribable!  I am eligible for military retirement in January 2006, but I have extended until July of 2007.  My plans are to retire at that time, but then again, maybe not!
