From the 50th reunion booklet May 30, 2010: Spouse: Alice I worked for an envelope manufacturer for 20 years as sales manager and then started my own business cleaning buildings and carpets. I retired in 1990. We traveled around the Midwest in summers playing music and singing in country music festivals. In the winter we stayed in southern Texas where we now reside full time. Still pickin' and grinin'. Can it really be 50 years? What happened? Hope everyone comes and has a good time. I'm sorry I won't be able to make it. From an e-mail sent when we had our May 2008 reunion at Janz, Onawa, IA Good to hear from you. Yes, I would love to be on the list and hear from everyone. I retired in 1990, heart trouble, and in 1996 we bought a 5th wheel and truck and traveled for 10 years back and forth to south Texas. In summers we headquartered in NE and followed the country music festivals. We now live in south Texas, Donna, TX, 60 miles from Padre Island. My wife, Alice, is pretty much confined to immediate local with breathing problems. She does well here at home and feels good. God has been good to us. Keep those e-mails coming -- Scot and Alice |
