DONNA LEE KELLY RAWSON
was born August 12, 1934 on a farm north of Decatur,
Nebraska to Walter and Mildred (Ferguson) Dunlap. She
passed away Friday, December 19, 2008, at the Mercy
Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa at the age of 74
years.
Donna grew up on the farm in Thurston
County, Nebraska. She graduated from Decatur High School
in 1952.
On May 23, 1952 Donna married George
Kelly. Three children were born to this union: Linda,
Ronald and Raymond Kelly. On February 3, 1969, Donna
married Lyle Rawson. One daughter was born to this
union: Tonya Rawson.
Donna worked at Nebraska Ordnance
Plant in Mead, Nebraska, Wilkinson Manufacturing in Fort
Calhoun, Nebraska, Sharlo Manufacturing in Tekamah,
Nebraska and Dimatic Die and Tool in Omaha, Nebraska.
She retired from Dimatic in 1997. Following her
retirement, she spent lots of time fishing and camping
up at the farm.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; sister, Mary and infant nephew.
Survivors include her sons and
daughter-in-law: Ronald Kelly of Blair, Nebraska,
Raymond and Dawn Kelly of Sioux City, Iowa; daughters
and son-in-law: Linda and Rob Mills of Fremont,
Nebraska, Tonya Rawson of Hooper, Nebraska; ten
grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers and
sisters-in-law: Jim and Margaret Dunlap of Zearing,
Iowa, Robert and Virginia Dunlap, Roy and Rita Dunlap
all of Decatur, Nebraska; sister and brother-in-law:
Alice and Bill Shamburg of Herman, Nebraska; nieces and
nephews.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, December
27, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah.
VISITATION: Friday,
December 26, 2008, 1 - 8 p.m. with the family receiving
friends from 5 - 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in
Tekamah. and Saturday one hour prior to the service.
BURIAL: 1:00 p.m. at
the Evergreen Cemetery, Walthill, Nebraska
