A graveside service for Donna Marie Blackerby, 62 was held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, Rev. Steven Eggum officiated.  Honorary pallbearers were Scott Olson, Johnny Johnson, George Ackerman, Roger Tranmer, Kenny Robinson and Randy Robinson.

She was born September t, 1937, in Thurston County to Thomas and Ella (Bacon) Crippen. She died June 13, 2000, at her home in Tekamah.

She graduated from Decatur High School in 1955.

December 3, 1957, she married Ray Blackerby at the Decatur United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; son, Russell; and brother, Russell.

Surviving are two sons, Walter Ray Jr. and Roger Blackerby, both of Tekamah; one daughter, Ruth Blackerby or Oakland; sisters, Alice Mobley of Decatur, Ethel Jarosz of Blair, Helen Smith of Torrington, WY, Hazel Dyche of Amity, OR, Neva Taylor of Allen And Jean Watcher of Hubbard; brother, Sid Crippen of Tekamah; one granddaughter, Kari Blackerby; one step-granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
