Information taken from the May 30,1999 Decatur Alumni Banquet Booklet Spouse: Jim McKay Married 10-25-75 Children: James 18, Micah 16, and Rachel 9 I attended college of St. Mary in Omaha for one year. Married Jim McKay, former Decatur PE teacher, moved to Independence, Missouri. Have three wonderful children, whose activities are varied and numerous, which keeps me very busy as an attentive mom. I work as manager at our local McDonalds during the day so I am free to attend kid's activities after school and evenings. Current past time hobby seems to be looking at colleges for our sons. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Editor's note: We believe her year of death was 2001) SERVICES for Elizabeth Ann Connealy McKay were held July 9 at Buckner Restoration Branch in Independence, Missouri. Family gathered for a a sharing service on the evening of July 8. Beth passed away at home, under hospice care, after a long illness. Beth was born September 24, 1956 to Mary Jo and Maurice B. "Mick" Connealy. Beth attended Elm Creek Country School near Decatur, graduated from Decatur High School and attended the college of St. Mary in Omaha. She and her husband raised their family in Independence, Missouri during their 26 year marriage. Beth loved homemaking and put great energy into raising children and community involvement. During the last three years, she cherished life and love ones as she underwent numerous cancer treatments. She was preceded in death by her father, M .B. Connealy. Beth is survived by her husband, Jim McKay, and three children: James (21), Mica (20) and Rachel (12). Other survivors include her Mother, Mary Jo Connealy of Decatur, her sisters, JoEllen Benecke and Husband, George; sister Joy Connealy, ND, and Theresa Wiggs and husband, John, all of Omaha. Her brothers, Matt and Judy, Dick and wife, Dot, and Michael Connealy all of Decatur also survive her. Beth is survived by 12 nieces and nephews. It is requested that memorials be sent to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
