Children:  John

     After graduation she joined the Navy for 4 years.  While in the Navy she met Fred Ridgway and they were married in 1945.

     After the Navy she went to beauty school.  The family lived for a time in Springfield, IL, where John was born in 1949.

     Gladys and  John later moved to Decatur where she was employed for 22 years by the Green Lantern Steak House.

     At the time of her death on February 8, 1984, she was retired and living at Maple Villa in Decatur.
