Memorial services were Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Etiwanda Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., for Harold M. (Herk) Peterson. Dr. Roy Halberg of Heart and Soul Ministries officiated. He died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in San Bernandino, Calif.

Herk was born December 23, 1950, in Decatur, Neb., and lived there until moving to California after graduation from Decatur High School. He worked for Goodyear Rubber Co. for the next 43 years.

Survivors include his son, Travis, of California; sister Janice and brother-in-law, Larry Larsen, of Decatur; brother Denny of Blair, Neb.; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.

     I left Decatur in August 1969 for Southern California.  I've been working in the rubber business for most of my life.  I enjoy fishing and hunting and watching my son grow up.
