(Information taken from 50th Alumni Booklet May 2007. Please send an e-mail to update information at any time.) Children: 4 Jeannie (Mrs. Tony Bertapelli) of Phoenix; Lin (Jeanine) Rowell; Gregg (Tammy) Rowell & Jana (Mrs. John Finley) all of Omaha. Grandchildren: 10 Crystal, Michael, and Carrie Bertapelli of Phoenix; Mallory, Shelby & Brendon Finley; Abby & Lindsay Rowell; and Megan & Jacob Rowell all of Omaha. After graduation I went to Omaha where I went to business school for a short time. Then I went to work for Continental Grain. Gene Rowell and I were married in 1959. We had four children over the next twelve years and at that time, I became a stay at home mom. In 1976 I went to work for the Omaha Public School's Transportation Department in the transportation of Special Education Students. I became a supervisor of the drivers and aides of the wheel chair buses. We transport over one hundred and fifty students in wheel chairs daily. This is a very rewarding job that I enjoy very much, and is probably why I am still working. In 1992 Gene and I were divorced but have remained good friends and enjoy time together with our children and grandchildren. I work in my yard and garden in summer and love being outside. I try to travel to Arizona in the winter when I can.
