Jeanette Jean Ferguson Madsen
From the May 30, 2010 reunion booklet Children: Keith, Ken, Karla and Kevin Grandchildren: Braden & Brett Collison, Steve Madsen, & Cameron & Morgan Madsen I was a stay at home Mom involved in the farm and the many activities of my children--school, sports, music and Boy Scouts, Campfire Girls and 4-H. I did volunteer work for Youth For Understanding., which is a high school international exchange student organization. Our family hosted two students for one year each; one from Germany and one from Brazil. Our German student has visited us several times and I visited Germany and Ireland in June of 2000. When my youngest child went to college; I enrolled at Morningside College and graduated with my Bachelors Degree in 1995. I then worked in the accounting department at Westendorf Mfg., until 2008 when I retired so I could spend more time with my grandchildren before they grow up. I enjoy gardening and camping and nature walks in the Loess Hills where I live. I also like to travel to places my children live to enjoy the area as a local rather than a tourist. This has taken me to Colorado, Texas, Arizona, Illinois and Ohio as well as Ireland, Germany and into Mexico.
