     Following graduation, I attended Lincoln School of Commerce in Lincoln, NE., and received a medical secretary degree.  Soon after, I started working for Mutual of Omaha and remained there for almost 5 years.

     During that time, I married my high school sweetheart, Ron Carson.  We have been happily married for nearly 22 years!  After starting his business in his dorm room, Ron has been the President of Carson Wealth Management Group for nearly 25 years.

     After having our first child, Chelsie, I quit working and was blessed to be able to become a stay-at-home mom.  Two and a half years later Madison (Maddie) came along and then four and a half years after that came Grant.  Our kids have kept our lives very busy and interesting with all of their sports and activities.  Chelsie continued her volleyball career in college and is currently playing at and attending the University of Nebraska @ Kearney.  This Fall Maddie will be a Junior and Grant a 7th Grader in Elkhorn School District.

     With Ron's business, our family has been very fortunate to be able to travel around the world.  I stay very busy helping Ron with our business and trying to be as good a Mom as I grew up with.  I have spent many hours volunteering for charities/foundations in Omaha, but over the past several years have put all my volunteer time into the kids' schools and sitting on the Board of the Elkhorn Public School Foundation.

     I have many wonderful memories from my life growing up in Decatur and from my elementary and high school years.  This city girl will always have a little bit of country in her heart!
