(Information taken from 25h Alumni Booklet May 1998. Please send an e-mail to update information at any time.) Spouse: John (June 23, 1973) Children: Jaime, and Jeremy John and I were married June 23, 1973 and will celebrate our 25th anniversary this summer. We spent a few years moving around Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa before settling near Decatur in the spring of 1977 where we farmed for a couple of years. Our daughter, Jamie was born there. A few months later, we moved to our only long term home near Herman, NE. During these early years, I worked a number of part-time jobs and continued to do so until several months after our son, Jeremy was born in 1981. My first full-time employment was as a meat wrapper at the Blair, NE meat plant. I took a job at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, starting as a part-time cook. Soon after, I started taking computer classes at Metropolitan Community College (having always been fascinated with computers, but not knowing anything about them). It took about seven years to get my Associates Degree in Computer Programming and I topped that off with a semester's work of "management information systems" classes at Dana College, but have yet to earn a four year degree. Meanwhile, I moved from dietary to patient billing to programming to serving as Chief Information Officer at Memorial Community. Three and a half years ago, I interviewed for Keane, Inc., in Rochester, Minnesota. I accepted the position (moving to Rochester in December, 1994, where I spent the longest six months of my life, living alone while my husband and kids stayed in Herman to complete the school year). I am currently employed as a Keane team leader and a senior consultant on IBM's AS400 support line where I service customers from across the USA, Puerto Rico, and parts of Canada. In my spare time, I take singing lessons, sing in the church choir and also sing in a semi-professional chorale. However, I spend MOST of my spare time on-line doing website design and maintaining various Internet sites. In other words, I am a total computer nut! If anyone would be interested in contact, you can view my main website at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/4975 I'd love to hear from you. From Webmaster: I went to her site and it is a working site and you can also e-mail her from there. If you want to read "the rest of her story"...go to her website! Updated: 4/7/09 |
