February 4, 1932 - September 30, 2005

Mary Lee Trotter, "Hostess at the Banquet of Life", passed away on September 30, 2005 at Layton, Utah.  She was full of life and enjoyed sharing it with others for 73 years.  She found joy in service, had a great sense of humor and cherished her family and friends.

Born on February 4, 1932, she was the youngest child born to Gerald and Gladys Eagleton of Decatur, NE.  She truly loved her sister Jacqualine Maryott and brother Jim and adored her grandmother, Nettie.

Mary Lee attended Decatur Public School for 12 years, gratuating in 1949, and attended Christian College in Missouri, later working in Omaha.

She married Keith Trotter on September 23, 1952, and they never experienced a dull moment; he loved her and kept her laughing for 40 years, until his death in 1992.  She spent every holiday and most Saturdays with her daughter, Susan Coffe (Clinton); building great memories together was their hobby.

Her son, K.G. (SLC) had his mother's devoted love, never a day that passed that she didn't think of him.

Her three granddaughters and four great grandchildren defined joy in her life; Holly (Rudy), Andrew and Sara Atencio, Heidi and (Kevin) Cobb, Hope (Ryan), Taylor and Alec Arave were her greatest blessings from the Lord.

She was a Christian and belonged to Clearfield Community Church, where she held lasting friendships.  She greatly loved her residence and friends at St. Marks Gardens in Kaysville; and everyone knew how much she enjoyed decorating and going to yard sales.

Her remains, along with Keith's, will be caught up together on the wind of loving memories, at services held Saturday, October 8, in Decatur, NE, at Hillcrest Cemetery, overlooking the Missouri River.  Officiating for the service were Reverend Philip Sloat of the United Methodist Church of Decatur and Reverend Joel Lundak of Nebraska City, NE, a member of the family.
