Maxine lost her husband, Edwin L. Johnson ('46) July 14, 2014. (Information taken from 50th Alumni Booklet May 1998. Please send an e-mail to update information at any time.) Spouse: Edwin Children: Susan, Danita, Marta, Steven & Jeffrey Grandchildren: Beau, Summer, Nellie, Travis, Nathan, Jeremy, Daniel, Matthew, Miles, Tessa, Tanner Step-Grandchildren: Kimberly and Ross Great Grandchildren: Brianna Following graduation, I attended Business College at Sioux City, IA. I worked in secretarial/clerical positions prior to and after my marriage, until our first child was born. I'm not a "poker" player, but we feel we were dealt a real good hand with 3 Queens (girls) and 2 Kings (boys). Susan and her husband are both Chiropractors in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Danita is a nurse with an Art degree and married to a farmer in Kearney, NE area. Marta has her own Accounting business, her husband is with Heritage Homes and they live in Wayne, NE. Steven owns and operates his own business, Riverdale Auto Repair", wife Barb (a Dental Assistant) works part time, and they live in Kearney. Jeffrey, formerly an Assistant Manager of Loveland Motor Sports, Loveland, CO., is back home with us after a motorcycle accident in 1994, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. I worked outside the home very little while our family was growing up. After a few part time jobs, and being one who hates schedules, I have had a sewing business in our home for several years, and also do typing for several people. Due to Ed's work, in road construction, sales, and eventually for himself, we have moved approximately 28 times, but never lived anywhere other than the State of Nebraska. We have traveled to Israel, London, Rome, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, and all but 16 states, mostly the southeast. We intend to cover all of them in our lifetime. My hobbies consist of sewing, embroidery, knitting, some craftwork, flower gardening, canning and family genealogy. Much of my pleasures and interests center around my grandchildren. After my bout with cancer (over twenty years ago), both Ed and I have been blessed with good health, of which we continually give thanks.
