January 17, 1931 - February 12, 2004 Funeral services for Mina L. Warren, 73, of Blair were February 14 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home with burial at Blair Cemetery. She died February 12, 2004, at the Blair hospital. She was born January 17, 1931, in Decatur to Fred J. and Minnie C. (Andersen) Young. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1948. After graduation, she moved to Omaha and attended Commercial Extension Business College where she received a business degree. She worked for Jones Investigation Agency and National Gypsum Co. (the Mead ammunitions plant) packing shells with powder during the war. Eventually Mina moved back to Decatur and married Gerald "Tom" Warren on March 25, 1955. They farmed for several years before moving to Blair in April 1960. The couple played and sang with several country and western bands in and around the Blair area, for over 20 years. She was a secretary at D. L. Blair for over 14 years and also worked for Washington County for over 10 years prior to retirement. Mrs. Warren was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Blair. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Ned J. Young; and sister, Mary Jean Ferguson. Survivors include her husband of Blair; daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Brent Ramsey and Gay (Riley) and Craig Duis, all of Blair; son, Mark Warren of Omaha; sister and Brother-in-law, Doris Harris of Torrington, WY, and Bonnie and Henry Otte of Blair; grandchildren, Korrine Grandbois, Erin Smith and Amber Burback, all of Omaha, and John, Tom and Michelle Riley, all of Blair; one great-grandson, Alex Grandbois; many nieces and nephews.
