Information taken from May 25, 1997 Decatur Alumni Booklet. Spouse: None Children: None After graduation I attended Northeast Technical College for six months and was a live-in baby-sitter, at that time, for Bob and Cindy Mussack. I then went to work at IBP, Inc. in Dakota City in the processing division for 5 years. After that I received 6 months training through the CETA program and worked in the Village Clerk's office here in Decatur. Six months later I was hired full time as deputy Village Clerk and have been there for the past 18 years. I also began writing the Decatur News for the Plaindealer in August of 1978 and continue to do so today. Four years ago I also started writing the Decatur News for both the Lyons Mirror-Sun and the Onawa Democrat. Sixteen years ago my sister, Peggy Davis and I, with the help of our Mother, Adene, started putting up a Winter Wonderland in the upstairs of the City Hall in Decatur during the Christmas season so children can come and visit with Santa. This past fall I also became Secretary of the Alumni Association. I enjoy traveling to Tyler, TX at least once a year to visit with friends. I am also active in Trinity Lutheran Church here in Decatur.
