     Since High School, I have enjoyed 20 years of teaching, both in Iowa and overseas in Kuwait.  I completed my Masters degree from  I.S.U. in Ames in 1979 and taught there for 2 years in the elementary education dept., along with supervising student teachers.  I have taught grades pre K-3, starting in Algona, IA and then teaching in Ames, IA and at the American International School in Kuwait. 

     My husband, daughter and I love to travel and camp, both in and out of the U.S.   A high-light for me last summer was attending a writing process workshop in Dublin, Ireland.  This summer I will be participating in an environmental awareness workshop in the rain forest in Costa Rica. 

     My other hobbies include gardening, walking, reading and gourmet cooking.
