Patricia Harmon Richards
Information taken from the May 30, 2004 Decatur Alumni Banquet booklet Spouse: Jim Children/grandchildren: 2 Daughters, 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren I married Jim Richards on January 23, 1955. We moved to Seattle. The first 25 years I was a stay at home Mom, but I did a lot of volunteer work. The most interesting was a couple of years with Head Start in our Central area in the late '60's. In the "70's" I was a discussion leader in Women's Bible Study Fellowship and held several positions in my own church. My favorite things are reading, traveling, listening to music, going to Art and History Museums. We love learning through attending Elder Hostel's. We have backpacked in Alaska and Great Britain, been to Europe twice, and walked the Great Wall of China near Beijing the day after 9/ll. We love walking and do a 10k nearly every Saturday. As to future plans I guess we will just keep doing what we have been doing. Oh, I forgot to mention, I did do some work for money in the last 20 years as a reader for Court Reporter class at Edmonds Community College for 3 years and then I worked in a Christian Day Care for about 7.
