April 21, 1933 - April 8, 1999 Funeral services for Patsey Ann Glassmeyer were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 1999, at our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne, NE. Rev. Martin Russell officiated at the morning services. Patsey died April 8, 1999. The organist was Margaret Hansen. Soloist Ron Carnes sang "The Lords Prayer". The congregation sang "Just As I Am", "Amazing Grace", and "How Great Thou Art". Pallbearers were Tim Seymour, Ron Strobel, Steve Glassmeyer, Lance Schuler, Randy Strobel and Jay Glassmeyer. Schumacher-Hasemann Funeral Homes officiated. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne, NE. Patsey Ann Glassmeyer, daughter of Ray and Lucille (Ball) Seymour, was born April 21, 1933, at Decatur, Nebraska. She was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wayne, NE, on January 8, 1955. She graduated from Decatur High School and attended Wayne Sate College, where she received her teaching degree. Patsey was united in marriage to Lowell Glassmeyer on April 24, 1952, at Decatur. She taught rural school near Decatur. Following Lowell's discharge from the military, the couple made their home on a farm near Wayne. Patsey then taught rural school at District #29 and later became a teacher's aid at Wayne-Carroll Public Schools. There she worked with special needs children for twenty-nine years. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and camping. Patsey Glassmeyer is survived by her husband, Lowell; four sons and spouses, Gregg and Diane of Fredrick, Maryland; Vaughn and Beth of Loveland, CO; Scott and Doris of Matthews, MO; and Kent and Teresa of Wayne; one daughter and spouse, Becky and Tom Zech of Eagle, NE; fifteen grandchildren; one brother and spouse, Raymond and Janie Seymour of Decatur; three sisters and spouses, Marcheta and John Strobel of Omaha; Mary and Johnie Beard of Decatur; and Joan and George Schuler of Tekamah; and her step-mother, Lena Seymour of Decatur; nieces and nephews.
