I worked at Western Electric-AT&T--Lucent Tech (all the same company) for 39 years.  I served an apprenticeship for 3 1/2 years to be a machinist.  I retired in 2000.

I was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1964 and served two years.

I married Ann Olson shortly after I got out of the Army.  She graduated from Tekamah High School in 1960.  We have always lived in Nebraska (Omaha, Millard, Blair and Elkhorn).  We like to travel and enjoy following our grandchildren's activities.  Our family all lives close by so we stay busy with them and friends.

I have always liked sports and most of all, Nebraska football.  I always enjoy seeing and visiting with all of the Decatur High school friends.

  1.  Name and city/state where you live - Raymond Warren,  Elkhorn, NE (suburb of Omaha)

        2.  Spouse's name and where he/she was born or went to school -Ann Olson, born and raised on farm east of Tekamah, graduated from Tekamah High school (class 1960)

        3.  How/where did you meet your spouse - Blind Date.

        4.  Your occupation before retirement   Machinist for AT&T , (then became Lucent Tech).  I retired in 2000,  with 39 years of service.

        5.  Did you attend college or special schooling ~ what study Served in U.S. Army 1964-1966, stationed in Texas and Washington D.C., Attended trade school for Tool and Dye, Machinist. 3 1/2 year apprenticeship.

        6.  Your spouse's occupation before retirement -  worked at Guarantee Mutual life Insurance before becoming a full time house wife and doing volunteer work over the years.                               

    7.  Favorite place (city/state) where you have lived and why _ Lived in Omaha, Millard, Blair and Elkhorn. 

        8.  How many children -3-- Debbie, Lisa and son, Greg.                                                                                                                             9.  Grandchildren?--4    Daughter, Debbie, has two boys, Ben and Alec.     Lisa, our 2nd daughter, has a son, Tyler.  Our Son, Greg , has a daughter, Sydney.

       10.  Special hobbies - like different sporting events, and traveling ( just returned from a wonderful trip to NYC this spring), since retirement.  We enjoy Nebraska football games and Creighton and Neb. basketball games.  We go to a lot of ball games and races following our grandkids' events.

       11.  Any other details you care to share - I also enjoyed the get together at Janz, (2008) good to see everybody.
