June 25, 1922 - March 27, 2001

RAYMOND DOYLE ROGERS, 78, of St. David, AZ., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at the Benson Arizona Hospital. 

 Doyle was born June 25, 1922 in Rosalie, Nebraska to Charles A. and Irene (Stillman) Rogers.

Doyle served his country in the Army Air Corps, as a B-24 Bomber Pilot, during World War II.  He retired from the Air Force Reserves with the rank of Captain.  He married Orma McLaughlin on January 8, 1943.  He was Postmaster in Decatur for 4 years and a Rural Letter Carrier until his retirement in 1977. Doyle was a member of the United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #31, and the American Legion Post #215. He strongly supported all that the United States of America stands for in the world.

Doyle was a talented and happy person; a real gentleman. He loved his family and was loved by them.  He was an accomplished woodworker and his creations are treasured by all who possess them.   

 

Survivors include his wife, Orma, of St. David, AZ.; daughter, Sherry, Mrs. Arlen Carlson of Manhattan, KS; daughter Nancy, Mrs. Richard Badje of Omaha; brother, Norman S. Rogers of Tekamah; brother Charles V. & Betty Rogers of Tekamah, 5 grandchildren, Kendal Carlson, Joy Ales, Tad, Jay & Jill Badje and 7 great grandchildren along with a great many friends & relatives.
