Children:  Jeffrey(45) and Michael (44)

Grandchildren:  Alyssa (11) and Megan (10)

After graduation I went to work at Burt County Public Power District in Tekamah.  It was there I met Ray Carlson and we were married in 1962.  I continued working there until our first son, Jeffrey, was born in December of 1964 and Michael in February of 1966.  I went back to my old job in 1977 and continued working until my husband retired in 1996.

Jeffrey married Andrea Duren of Columbus.  Michael married Cherie Reilly of Elgin and they have two daughters, Alyssa and Megan, who are the light of my life.  They all live in Omaha.

In February of 2003 we moved into our retirement home on the golf course.  In November 2003 my husband died of a massive heart attack after surgery.

I do a lot of traveling with friends.  I've even gone on trips with Joan Seymour Schuler and Jane Sears McDonald.  Who would have thought I would be friends with "Seniors" who made us pull a horse buggy to school with them in it for freshman initiation!

I golf in the summers, play bridge in the fall and winter.  I belong to a book club and with all my trips I keep quite busy.
