Luella M. Y'Deen Norris

1925 ~ 2013

      Luella M. Norris, 87, of Elgin passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Advocate Sherman Hospital, Elgin. She was born on October 19, 1925 in Decatur, Nebraska the daughter of Emil and Mary (Edwards) Y'Deen. Luella was married to Clifford Norris and they moved to Elgin to raise their family. She worked for St. Thomas More Parish and school and also School District U-46. She is survived by her children, Mary Jo (Larry) Nielsen, Jean Norris, Lori (Dennis) McConnell and Phillip (Kay) Norris; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford in 1986, daughter and son-in-law Kathy (Mike) Fellows, 7 sisters and two brothers. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin. Burial will follow at River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. My specific achievements are just surviving, I guess! ha! ha!

Raising 5 children and making sure they all had an education beyond 12 years.   I have been:  a Nurse, a Teacher, worked in design merchandising, airplane mechanic and a legal secretary. 

I am very excited about seeing all my classmates.  See ya then.
